Federal Fall Protection

In Canada, fall protection is required for all workers who may be exposed to fall hazards.  For federally regulated workers that follow the Canada Labour Code, Intola Safety offers training that addresses the specific needs of employers and workers in this jurisdiction. For provincially regulated Construction Projects, please refer to Working at Heights under Services Available.

Intola Safety ensures that participants understand the legal requirements for their specific work by referencing the Canada Labour Code Part II, as well as various applicable CSA Standards and Guidelines.  The course also focuses on hazard recognition and applying correct fall protection controls, specifically fall prevention and fall arrest equipment.

Choosing the correct equipment and ensuring it is used properly is important when working at height.  This course emphasizes this fact and addresses proper methods of using, inspecting and storing fall protection equipment.

This course also addresses fall protection planning and the development and implementation of rescue plans.

The proper use of ladders and scaffolds is also covered in this course.

Intola Safety can provide specific training on the use of ladders if required – a separate course dealing with fixed, extension and step ladders is available (please see Ladder Safety under Services Available).
