Fall protection is required in Ontario for all workers who may be exposed to fall hazards. For workers who follow Ontario Regulation 851: Industrial Establishments, Intola Safety offers training that addresses the specific needs of employers and workers in this sector. Intola Safety ensures that participants understand the legal requirements for their specific work by referencing the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, as well as various applicable CSA Standards and Guidelines. The course also focuses on hazard recognition and applying correct fall protection controls, specifically fall prevention and fall arrest equipment in an industrial setting.
Choosing the correct equipment and ensuring it is used properly is important when working at height. This course emphasizes this fact and addresses proper methods of using, inspecting and storing fall protection equipment.
This course also addresses fall protection planning and the development and implementation of rescue plans.
The proper use of ladders and scaffolds is also covered in this course.
