Confined Space Awareness

This course explains what confined spaces are as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as the Canada Labour Code.  This course will also provide participants with the information needed to understand the potential hazards of working in confined spaces and the elements necessary to control those hazards prior to entry.

Intola Safety’s Confined Space program addresses what workers must know, including the following key components:

  • Identifying Confined Spaces
  • Elements of a Confined Space Program
  • Entry Permits/Plans
  • Confined Space Controls
  • Hazard Assessment
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Rescue Plans

This course will also include a demonstration of the use of a gas analyzer for atmospheric testing.
