Mobile Elevating Work Platforms – Boom Lifts

This course is comprised of a classroom (theoretical) component as well as a hands-on practical component where participants will operate the boom lift under supervised conditions.  This comprehensive course addresses the safe inspection and operation of the boom lift, including controls and operating procedures.

Specifically, this course will address:

• all current industry standards and legislation
• the hazards associated with operating boom lifts
• outline pre-shift inspections
• outline work area surveys
• review safety decals
• the specific capabilities of the equipment being used

Each participant will be tested to ensure they can safely and efficiently operate site-specific equipment.

Regardless of the make or model of the boom lift, the instructors at Intola Safety have the knowledge and experience to provide thorough and enjoyable training.

A prerequisite for any Aerial Work Platform course is that all participants have completed a recognized fall protection course.  Intola Safety can provide this training beforehand if necessary (please see Fall Protection under Services Available).
