Propane Heaters and Torches (400-01)

Intola Safety is proud to offer the Canadian Propane Association’s Propane Training Institute courses, which are recognized by regulatory authorities across Canada for the safe handling of propane. These courses have been designed to provide basic instruction on the safe handling of propane and propane-powered equipment and satisfy federal and provincial training requirements.

Intola Safety offers a half day course (PTI 400-01) that focuses on the correct and safe use of propane fueled heaters and torches. This course has been designed for individuals who use propane powered construction heaters (up to 400,000 BTUH) and hand-held torches.

Participants who only require instruction on the safe use of hand-held torches may alternatively take the PTI 400-08 – Propane Torches course instead of this course.

This program is aimed at all propane heater and torch users as a training and safety guide in the correct procedures of the equipment.

Intola Safety is committed to providing site and job-specific training, and can meet any demands. Regardless of experience, all participants will gain valuable knowledge and practice time from this course.

As with all other services offered, Intola Safety includes an explanation of the laws and regulations currently in place to protect users of propane equipment.

The classroom component of the session includes visual materials including pictures and videos, and culminates with a knowledge verification component (written test).

The practical component of the session will include equipment inspections, demonstrations and hands-on practice (wherever possible) for participants.

Whenever possible, participants are encouraged to use the equipment that they will be handling after leaving the course. For this reason, participants are encouraged to use their own equipment – providing it is in safe and proper working order. If necessary, Intola Safety can supply equipment upon request.
